Note to Existing Starter Plan Users

If you were on the Starter Plan before today, don't worry. All the features you've been using are still and will continue to be available to you. Consider that a bonus for getting a Lessonspace account early!

NEW: Lesson Recording

To coincide with the release of the Pro Plan we've launched the general availability of the new Lesson Recording feature. Lesson Recording allows you to play back past sessions just like a video. Except it's not a video... it actually plays back as if you were inside the Space it was recorded in!

A few Lessonspace users have been testing out the recording feature for the past few months, while we've been working out some of the kinks. Now, we're ready to launch to users on the Pro and Advanced plans. The feature is still in beta, so if you find something that doesn't feel right, please let us know.

To get started with recording (or to opt out of it), head to the Organisation tab under Settings and scroll down to Recording Settings. You can choose to enable just contents and chat, or audio/video streams, or both!

Remember: By enabling recording of audio and video, you need to receive the consent of either your tutors (if your local laws allow single party consent) or both your tutors and students (if both parties are required to consent). If you are unsure of your local laws, contact us and we can help you figure it out.

View Recordings

To view a recording of a session, head to the Sessions page. You'll see a "View Recording" button next to each session. If the recording is still being processed or the session is still in progress, you may see "Recording Not Yet Available" or "Recording Unavailable".

Click the View Recording and you'll be taken to the Session with draggable playback controls in the bottom corner, where you can play, pause, and seek to any time during the session.

By default, tabs are automatically switched by following the current leader in the session. But you can change which participant you'd like to follow (or stop following anyone at all) by click the Following label and choosing an option from the dropdown.
